Fox News said it first. Apparently, the Indiana Legislature just passed a human trafficking law this week criminalizing the arrangement of forced sexual activity within its borders. According to Fox, “10,000 prostitutes were brought to the 2010 Super Bowl in Miami.” 10,000!!! How crazy is that? In reference to why the law was passed, Indiana Senator Randy Horn acknowledged that the Super Bowl has proven to be a huge human trafficking event in the past and that “Indiana will not tolerate it.” Way to go Indiana!!! This was a major step forward for the anti-trafficking movement; let’s hope more States quickly follow Indiana’s example.
